FIRST FLOOR
DESIGNER'S SHOWCASE
Our First Floor Designer's Showcase is a new strand at this year's festival and is one of the ways we are using our venue differently. It features designers and makers who use yarn and/or stitch in their practices. It gives us a chance to expand our marketplace to include even more choice for you, our audience.
Please note that the First Floor is accessible via stairs and a lift.
Yarningham
triathlon
Celebrating the Commonwealth Games taking place in Birmingham this summer, the Yarningham Triathlon will feature 3 events - knitted fruit and spoon race, knitted arrow toss and pet agility featuring your own knit, crochet or stitched pet.

Take part as a team (maximum of 3 people) or individually.

community
stitch up
Join members of SAAC to collaborate on a multi-media textile artwork that captures the community’s collective conscience.

COMMUNITY STITCH UP will take the form of a mind-map that requires those participating to react to each other’s creations in whatever textile medium they prefer. To get the ball rolling SAAC will start in the middle with the theme community and leave the rest up to fate!
